PurePaleo™ is a novel‚ great-tasting‚ dairy-free protein powder‚ yielding 21 to 26 grams of protein per serving (depending on the flavor). It contains HydroBEEF™‚ a highly concentrated‚ pure beef protein‚ produced through an exclusive proprietary process that allows the protein to be hydrolyzed into more peptides‚ resulting in easier absorption and assimilation. This product contains beef from animals raised in Sweden without hormones or antibiotics‚ and it is non-GMO and free of grains‚ grasses‚ and/or ensilage.

      I did not like the taste so tried to cook with it as I did with other protein powders specifically protein pan cakes. It turned into a gummy ball I had to toss. Can't wait to finish the canister so it is gone. Too expensive to just toss in the trash.

      My trainer suggested PurePaleo Protein Powder by Designs for Health to me because I generally can't stomach the thickness and funky taste of protein powders. I am super happy that I tried it! This product has a nice thin consistency when mixed in a shake, I use almond milk. it has NO funky aftertaste, in fact, it has a great flavor! It's not too sweet, either. Now I look forward to my protein drinks! No joke, if you haven't tried this protein, you need to!

      When I read the negative reviews, I have to wonder if we are using the same product. I have the vanilla and PurePaleo Protein Powder by Designs for Health is the tastiest protein powder I have ever tried. Definitely no weird taste. I have only used it with nut milks, not water, so maybe that makes a difference. I have never had any sort of clumping in the blender, can't even imagine. I love it.

      PurePaleo Protein Powder by Designs for Health is the only protein shake my son has continuously asks for every morning. And it's delicious!

      The taste, no chalky texture, it has very little ingredients.

      I love the ingredient list and the taste is okay but PurePaleo by Designs for Health is CHUNKY. I tried a blender bottle and using my vitamix blender and it's still not smooth. If I leave it overnight in the fridge it's better but still not smooth. I will not buy this again. I'm struggling to finish the container. I've never had this issue with any protein (hydrolyzed, whey, pea, rice).

      My doctor (integrative medicine) recommended PurePaleo Protein Powder by Designs for Health as a part of my anti-inflammatory diet which also includes being dairy free and gluten free. A few months ago, Pure Formulas only had the vanilla version at the time. It is a different taste to get use to figuring out what to add to help the taste is tricky. Consulting my doctor on how to make a smoothie with this she suggested adding cacao, avocado (instead of banana), coconut cream, peanut butter, almond milk, and/or olive oil along with frozen berries. The cacao in it is delicious. I always add berries, and the other suggestions make it thicker and thicker in a way so much like a creamy ice cream shake. I thought the peanut butter was strange but turns out to be a fine complement with the chocolate. The extra body added by the avocado, coconut cream, almond milk and olive oil are superb. I suggest playing with these additions to your smoothie and it will turn out to be deliciously fun. Now that Pure Formulas has the PurePaleo Protein chocolate flavor available, try it.

      I decided to try PurePaleo Protein Powder by Designs for Health, even though it seemed more expensive than other protein powders. I chose it because with a dairy issue whey was out, because of concern for the potential to pick up arsenic brown rice was out for now, and because when I tried pea protein I'd be hungry an hour later and my research indicated that pea protein didn't really deliver enough significant protein to constitute a meal. PurePaleo Protein Powder DOES take a bit of time to adjust to the taste, (don't expect much vanilla flavor) and for me to make it worthwhile it meant adding lots of fruit - raspberries, blueberries and sometimes mango. I gradually got to like it. When I finished the cannister, just for the heck of it, I decided to try the pea and the brown rice powers again and discovered that I could no longer tolerate their mouth feels! They now seemed chalky and gritty, something I never noticed before. PurePaleo Protein Powder is so finely manufactured that if you get used to it, it's hard to switch to another type.

      Pros

      It was an easy way to digest beef protein (I have some digestive issues with hydrochloric acid and cannot take oral hcl.) This is the main recommendation of the product. It also makes for a quick lunch.

      Cons

      Taste needs to be acquired and the flavor needs to be covered up by a lot of fruit. The price is somewhat expensive as well...

      I would recommend PurePaleo Protein by Designs for Health based on the "no pea protein" ingredient list necessary for paleo diets.

      Mixed up easy enough in the blender but became very foamy. Taste is awful... no vanilla at all. Definitely need to add banana or other heavy fruit.

    My Doc just gave me a sample of the vanilla pure paleo, she was out of chocolate, I can't add fruits to my shake, do you have samples of the chocolate ? I would lo ve to try it before committing to a jar of protein that big.
